In recognition of his selfless service and sustained humanitarian gestures, Prince Abiodun Akinboyede has been honoured with the Community Philanthropist Award by Prestige Excellence Magazine.
The award ceremony was held on Friday, 12th September 2026, at the prestigious Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Alausa, Lagos. Barr. Akinboyede was celebrated as one of the distinguished Nigerians whose contributions have brought meaningful development to indigenes and communities at large.
Prince Abiodun Akinboyede, a respected lawyer and philanthropist from Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Ogun State, was singled out for his grassroots interventions, community development drive and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people of Awori land.
In his citation, he was described as a philanthropist and grassroots politician in Ogun State who has over the years remained a strong voice for the people of Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency where he has played pivotal political roles, supporting education, youth empowerment, progressive initiatives and community welfare programmes.
Presenting the award, Mr. Babajide Otitoju, one of Nigeria’s finest journalists and a regular face on TVC’s popular programme Journalists’ Hangout, alongside the publisher and chief organiser of the award event, Mr. Wale Abiodun of Prestige Excellence Magazine, noted that the Community Philanthropist Award is reserved for individuals whose philanthropy goes beyond publicity — touching lives, restoring hope and fostering communal growth.
Receiving the honour on behalf of Prince Akinboyede, Otunba Lukman Odewole expressed gratitude to the organisers and dedicated the award to the good people of Ota and Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.
He commended the organisers of Prestige Excellence Magazine for finding Prince Akinboyede worthy of the recognition.
"I will continue to stand for the development of our community and the betterment of our people," Prince Akinboyede said in his acceptance message.
The Community Philanthropist Award adds to his growing profile as one of the most consistent community-driven leaders and a recognised political force from Ogun West.
