It's beautiful seeing others celebrating their days but when it gets to your turn it's another glorious thing to see others wishing you well.
Guests and well wishers across the countries would today, April 21, 2021, converged in the country home of former two times commissioner of Ogun State, High Chief Waliu Olajide Ojuko to rejoice with him as he celebrates his 70th birthday.
The programme scheduled to begin with Special Prayers today by 10am at his residence, Ayodeji Otegbola Street, GRA, Ota.
High Chief Olajide Ojuko was born on May 15,1951 in Ota, Ado-Odo, Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.
He
began his educational background at Ansar-ud-Deen (AUD) Primary School,
Ota, the ancient city of Aworiland in 1956-62. He proceeded to Iganmode
Grammar School, Ota, 1963-68; Muslim College, Ijebu-Ode, 1969-70 and to
University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State in 1971-74.
The
great philanthropist remains a huge inspiration to youth across the
country. The former teacher, civil servant per excellence, entrepreneur
of repute, charitable grassroots politician, has held several offices
which had brought development to not only Ogun State but Nigeria at
large. Few amongst were: Commissioner of Local Government and
Chieftaincy Affairs; Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives &
Tourism in Ogun State; Director, Nigeria Wire and Cable Industries,
Ibadan; Director, WEMABOD Estates Limited, Lagos.
Political
Parties: Secretary, defunct Peoples Solidarity Party (PSP); State
Secretary, defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) 1991-93; member,
defunct Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN). Chief Ojuko used his wealth of
experience to transformed this offices from better to best for more
development that Ogun State and Nigeria at large still enjoy till
date.
Traditional Title: Chief Sobaloju of Ota and Maiyegun of Afon. Hobbies: Table tennis and watching film.
Chief
Jide Ojuko is an enviable leader, who has indeed represented
Ado-Odo/Ota LGA very well to the extent he was recently recognised as
one of the top ten commissioners of distinction in South-West, Nigeria.
