OGUN WEST PROFESSIONALS REAFFIRM SUPPORT FOR YAYI AHEAD OF 2027

…Swear in New Executives at Inaugural General Meeting

The atmosphere was charged on September 10th, 2026, as members of the Ogun West Professionals for Yayi and other distinguished guests gathered at the Police Multipurpose Hall, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, for the group’s inaugural general meeting.

The meeting brought together prominent professionals and stakeholders from across the Ogun West Senatorial District, who reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the emergence of the Senator representing the district, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as the next governor of Ogun State in the 2027 election.

A major highlight of the event was the swearing-in of the newly elected executives of the association. The officers pledged to uphold the values of the group, promote its good image and contribute to the development of Ogun West through effective leadership and representation.

The newly inaugurated executives are Dr. Morakinyo Oloyede, President; Mr. Timothy Olatunji, Vice President; Mr. Akinleye Olubori, General Secretary; Mr. Agboyinu Benjamin, Finance Secretary; Mr. Adekunle Adebiyi, Treasurer; Rotn. Kayode Taiwo, Public Relations Officer; Prince Tosin Adeluyi, Project Coordinator; Hajia Fausat Bashir, Welfare Officer; and Dr. Tosin Adegbola, Assistant Secretary.

The meeting, themed “Building a Greater Ogun State: Visionary Leadership and Inclusive Development,” was convened and hosted by Chief Ajiroba Dapo Oke, while Alhaji Hassan Adekunle served as Chairman of the Planning Committee.

Speaking as the Chairman of the Occasion, Hon. Olayiwola Taiwo, Aare Ona Kakanfo of Aworiland, said the group was established to harness the collective strength and unity of Yewa-Awori professionals toward achieving their political aspirations.

According to him, the objective is to unite the people behind the ambition of producing an Ogun West indigene as governor of the state, while mobilising support and votes ahead of the 2027 election.

The gathering ended with renewed calls for unity, collective action and sustained mobilisation toward the realisation of the group’s political objective.
