Undergraduate medical students received One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) while

The Executive Chairman, Hon. Taiwo Oyekan, who was represented by the vice chairman, Hon. Arulai Folami said the educational intervention
would lessen financial burdens on parents and guardians, reduce the dropout rate, and promote tertiary academic excellence within the local government area.
He emphasized that his administration remains committed to qualitative education and
human capital development.
Continuing, He said: "The bursary awards presentation would complement the Federal Government-powered Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). It also aligns with the educational goals of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope".
The Council Chairman enjoined the beneficiaries to study hard and concentrate on their studies. He also tasked the undergraduates to be good ambassadors of Lagos Island.
The Chairman of the Bursary Committee, Hon. Moshood Maiyegun urged the students to scale up their academic performances and cultivate self-discipline.
