When men of values died people often celebrates their contributions to humanity and society at large, It was an event of glitz and glamour on Saturday, July 18, 2026 as Ota Divisional Commander of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Cmdr. Hammed Salau organized a 40 days fidau prayer and final burial ceremony for his late father.
The late Patriarch, Chief Nofiu Oladele Salau popularly known as “No Push-Push” died on June 5, at the age of 75. He was buried same day according to Islamic rites.
The event which gathered eminent personalities across Ogun State was held at St Michael Anglican Primary School, Ododeyo in Ijebu North East Local Government Area of Ogun State amidst tight security.
Among the dignitaries at the event were the TRACE most senior officer Cdr Elias Omonayajo, Ogun West Zonal Commander, Cdr Adekunle Ariyo Ajibade, many senior, middle and junior ranks from the Agency.
Others that present at the event to extend their heartfelt condolences to Cmdr Salau and entire Chief Salau’s family includes Hon. Fasuwa Abayomi Johnson, Federal Commissioner at the National Population Commission representing Ogun State in Nigeria, Otunba (Mrs) Remi Odubote Ogunkoya, formal Chairman, Ijebu North East Local Government, Pastor Taiwo Idris, other political leaders, business moguls, friends, safety and security personnel.
Music at the gathering was anchored by one of the Nigeria major global musicians, Bose Adeiwa.
Late Chief Nofiu Oladele Salau, until his death was Aare Adini of Imala Central Mosque, Abeokuta.
Speaking at the event, a community leader, Alhaji Moroof Adekunle Kamaldeen, described the deceased as a great loss to the community. “Loosing a loved one is a sobering reminder of the transient nature of life,” urging families to continue to uphold the enduring values of faith, love and unity, praying that Allah would grant them the strength, comfort and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Mrs Ganiyat Oluwakemi Salau described the late father-in-law as a humble, loving and caring man, whose enchanting personality and audacious influence cannot be overlooked, asking Almighty Allah to grant him eternal rest and continue to uphold entire family he left behind with His unfailing grace and peace.
A trader, Mrs Kuburat Sogbade, said ‘Baba Push-Push’ was a community leader known for truth, uprightness and love for humanity. May his departed soul continue to rest in Al-Jannah firdaus. May Allah continue to comfort his family. Amin.
Pastor Taiwo Idris explained that ‘Baba’ in his lifetime was a great philanthropist and disciplinarian whose unalloyed lifestyle will remain a legacy for this generation and those yet unborn, urging all members of the family to bear this irreparable loss with strength.
