Ogun TRACE Clinches International Award For Discipline, Road Safety Excellence

The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), has received the Most Disciplined Road Safety of the Year 2025 award from the African Emerging Leadership, Research and Development Organization (AELRDO).

Presenting the award in Abeokuta, AELRDO Country Representative, Dr. Rhuefe Khaese, said TRACE was recognised for its strong commitment to discipline, ethical conduct, traffic management and road safety.

Dr. Khaese, commended TRACE operatives for their dedication, professionalism and steadfastness, noting that the Agency’s level of discipline distinguished it from other traffic management organisations in Nigeria.

He also laude TRACE for promoting road safety ethics and sustaining public enlightenment and sensitisation programmes for motorists and road users across Ogun State.

Dr Khaese urged officers to maintain professionalism by avoiding extortion and high-handedness in the discharge of their duties, just as he advised operatives to relate with the public, especially motorists, with friendliness, warmth and decorum.

Responding on behalf of the gency, the most Senior Officer of TRACE, Commander Elias Omonayajo, thanked AELRDO for the honour, describing the award as motivation for officers to remain committed to the Agency’s mission of effective service delivery.

According to him, “the recognition will inspire personnel to rededicate themselves to TRACE’s core values and improve traffic management and road safety enforcement across the State”.
