Honorable Olayiwola Taiwo, one of the prominent political stakeholders in Ogun political landscape is contesting for the seat of Ogun West Senate under the political platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC). He made his intention known at the 'Meet the Press' event organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun West Independent Chapel.
Aare Taiwo known for his versatile wealth of experience in Ogun politics says one of his vision to be pursued with vigour and an undying effort is to bring impactful development to the grassroot, build capacity in the teeming political space, moving forward, he stated Dividends of democracy must to come to the electorates and the party structure be respectly sustained in the Senatorial districts of Ado-Odo Ota 1.
According to Aare Ona Kakanfo of Ota Awori Kingdom,'I noticed there is backward infrastructural developments in the Ogun West as it deserves to be one of the topmost civilized domain in Nigeria minding the fact of its massive economic contributions to the gateway state and the Nation at large '' I will make all efforts Humanly possible to restores Ogun West to the deserved status in the gateway state, he stated.
Further, ''I have been in political office and observed several of the teeming supporters we have used our wealth of public service assisted to several political offices have not really brought and sustain our party structures as seems fit in the Senatorial District, now is such a time to make all the corrections and bring sanity to the party and further ensure our Senatorial District enjoys all it deserved in the state and the nation too''.
The ongoing party consultations and awareness for political offices has opened doors for several political parties and their Aspirants to make adequate awareness campaigns within the scope of their political jurisdictions until party primaries or Consensus candidates are picked to represent the parties on different levels of representations.
