NUJ OGUN WEST INDEPENDENT CHAPEL TO HOST “MEET THE PRESS” MEDIA CHAT FOR 2027 ASPIRANTS

 


The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun West Independent Chapel, Ota, will host a high-profile interactive Media engagement tagged “Meet the Press”, bringing together Aspirants contesting for the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate seats ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

The three-day Media chat is designed to provide a credible and non-partisan Platform for Aspirants to engage directly with Journalists  while presenting their visions, policy directions, and development agendas.

Senatorial Aspirants (Ogun West Senatorial District)

Date: Friday, 3rd April 2026

Time: 10:00 AM


House of Representatives Aspirants

Date: Saturday, 4th April 2026

Time: 10:00 AM


House of Assembly Aspirants

Date: Monday, 6th April 2026

Time: 10:00 AM

Venue: Recreation Center, Ota, Ogun State


The “Meet the Press” session aims to deepen Democratic engagement by offering Aspirants the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the Electorate through credible Reportage.

Articulate their legislative priorities

Demonstrate their competence and suitability for Public Office 

Engage in direct dialogue with Journalists and Constituents 


Each Aspirant will be assigned a specific Time slot and is expected to adhere strictly to the scheduled Time .

Aspirants are to attend with Ten Supporters, while all attendees are required to maintain order, discipline, and decorum throughout the sessions.


The Programme will receive extensive Coverage from National Television and Radio Stations, as well as numerous Online Media Platforms. Daily live broadcasts will ensure that Aspirants reach a wide and diverse audience across Ogun State and beyond.
