The year 2026 Lions clubs 3rd District Convention kick started on Thursday 5th February 2026 with the announcement of a sterling performance of emerging as the second best performing service club in the whole of Africa.
The year conventions was tagged: KITIGBE 2026 with the Theme: "Creating Endless Possibilities Together". The event was held at the prestigious Temperance Hotels, The Bells University, Ota, Ogun State.
The celebrated public declaration was made at the press conference organized to herald the opening ceremony of the 4-days dutiful activity celebrated convention.
Lion Adebowale Afolayan, the district 404B4 District Governor (DG) was super excited to affirmed the service club would never reneged in following the path of the commissioned focus of interventions in providing release materials for the floodings and other natural disasters, providing eye care solutions and other health concerns interventions which are the core functions of the service club.
Reacting to questions from journalists in attendance, the DG mentioned dutiful activities of Amazon leaders and members who had made it possible to achieve greater exploits of the club in solving humanity challenges and connecting the dots of the forgotten souls who ordinarily has no hope forging ahead but were numerously brought succour to in life.
Train of leaders and the members of the service club later proceeded to some royal fathers palaces to initiates the presence of the event to the Otta town, at the Olota's Palace, on behalf of HRM, ABDULKABIR Adeyemi Obalanlege, The Lanlege-Ekun ||, the Olota of Otta, which was unavoidably absent as at moment of visitation.
HRH,Oba Abdulwasiu Ogungbayi,The Onitetiku of Owode welcome the team with other Kings as HRH,Oba Clement Akinyemi,the Onijana of Ajana and others wishing the leaders and members a successful host and further promised a peaceful stay in the ancient town of Otta-Awori kingdom.
