"Me Bought a Jet? I Didn’t. Where Would I Get the Money From?” Pastor E. A. Adeboye Confesses

Following the recent conversations and controversies surrounding the Gulfstream aircraft, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, addressed the issue with clarity and calm.

According to him, he did not buy any jet.

He explained that what many people are reacting to today was actually a promise God made to him decades ago—long before he ever imagined such a possibility.

Speaking in a video shared by Divine Encounter, Pastor Adeboye recalled:

“Way back in 1975—at a time I had never even been to Ikeja, a time I had never seen the inside of an aircraft—God said to me, ‘Son, I will buy you three jets.’I I couldn’t understand it. I didn’t even know that an individual could own a jet.

So when the time came and God provided one, and people began to complain, I kept quiet. People said, ‘Explain yourself.’ I didn’t explain anything. Because if you are crying when I have one, what will you do when I have three?”

He went further to speak prophetically:

“I am telling you this today: not too long from now, there will be an airport belonging to the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and your jets will be parked there.”

Then he asked a simple question that silenced every acccusation:

“Some people thought I bought a jet. I didn’t.
Where would I get the money from?
I didn’t buy a jet—God bought it for me.”

When God decides to fulfill His word, no explanation will ever be sufficient—only faith will.
