2 KINGS 40:9-19
As a woman, one of the key notable acts expected and to be found useful in you is to be hospitable, one other branch of it is to show kindness towards giving. The lessons drawn from the above woman in the Bible text to all women in the body of Christ and this generation is to reorganized our priority towards seeing beyond our immediate needs but for others.
The Shunamite woman observations are as follows:
" She said to her husband, I know that this man who often comes our way is a holy man of God vs 10. Let’s make a small room on the roof and put in it a bed and a table, a chair and a lamp for him. Then he can stay there wherever he comes to us…………….
She knew exactly what God wanted her to become.
My Advise:
* Do not sit aloof when you have a visions, goal or ministry to execute. Stir up the gifts and talents that is in you to actualize your dreams.
Her Attitude – Her story is one of good attitude. She was a great woman in her community perhaps by wealth, status or good deed. Whatever she had was good in her but when she came in contact with a prophet of God, her life changed.
* When you are convinced without a doubt in your spirit, you rise and do what the spirit says so as to become a woman with spiritual sensitivity, passion and sacrifice.
She had opportunity to do good not to explore or meeting needs.
She discovered her strength and put passion into it.
* If it means to spend and be spent, you need to do it. Cultivate the habit of doing good to someone that needs your help. Where passion is involved, once is never involved. This does not kill the gifts in you or diminish you instead, it adds value to your life as you motivate people to believe God so that they can get involved in the kingdom business.
She was hospitable.
She was sensitive, spiritual, she made sacrifices and served the man of God.
* It is not what you give but the spirit behind giving. Giving is living. We all have something to give no matter how little it may seem.
She was thankful
* You must be full of thanks in everything you do. Thanksgiving opens doors, gives you a better chance for another joy. Gratitude opens doors for you and gives you the key to another.
May the Lord help us to discover the area of our relevance to God and humanity.
