One of renown global Petroleum engineer of human and managerial acumen who has paid her dues and played among the acclaimed top notch echelons of leadership both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, Engineer Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo has expressly declared interest to contest for Ado-Odo Ota Federal constituency seat under the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming 2027 elections.
Engineer Temitayo, fondly refers to as 'NaijaBabe' has been clinically engrossed in grassroot activities alleviating common-man challenges and building human capacity especially in the areas of self sufficiency guiding women and the youths in self-believe to achieve greatness irrespective of gender intimidations. She stressed, her major resolve to vie for political representations from Ado-Odo Ota is premised on decision to continue to proffer solutions to the Grassroot challenges among the people of the local council. She cited major issues bordering on total neglects of developmental projects to the constituency despite economic contributions made without any corresponding benefits or national development hitherto."Though others had been there however, Am yet to see real representations that facilitated needed developments required to give dividend of Democracy to our locality and representations from Abuja". She stated.
Okuboyejo highlights the constituent challenges to includes none benefitting from all federal government interventions in Agricultural, educational and commercial projects as duly observed. She described and dissected the three major grassroot communities that formed the constituencies as Ado, Igbesa and Otta respectively. Cited Ado community, suffering from Agricultural developments which lacks basic and deserved interventions from the federal representations. Igbesa community as observed lacking required Educational support as dues for presence of educational and technical projections to solve economic problems and Otta as commercially viable community devoid of a well deserved Economic benefits from previous federal Representatives from Abuja. Having dissected and identifies what people of the locality needed however, "I am ready to make my representation actively alive to these democratic dividend to the people when elected".
Engineer Temitayo stressed further on using her decades wide exposures to facilitates well deserved development in all sectors to one of the Nigerian largest constituencies,Ado-Odo Ota Federal constituency.
Reacting to the questions from team of journalists on a courtesy visit recently, Independent Online Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalist led by Com. Kayode Taiwo, on how prepared she is to wrestled with Male dominated contestants from other parties, added she believe her people knows her well to judge individual capability among those who came to serve and others who are not. I can not be intimidated by gender impositions but of the opinion that people can identifies who have their interest at heart to be voted for. She Echoed.
While all hands remain crossed to witness the political playouts come 2027, Engineer Temitayo has maintained constant and impactful contributions to the general development of the Ado-Odo Ota federal constituency within her capacity via various economic interventions from her foundation,an engagement which stands her out as a contestant to watch out for in the community of political juggernauts.
