Sanwo-Olu Swears in Hon. Taiwo Oyekan, Other 56 Newly Elected Lagos LG Chairmen...he assured a proactive governance

 

 

 

 

 

The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has swore in Hon. Prince Taiwo Oyekan as the executive chairman of Lagos Island local government and fifty-six(56) other
newly elected chairmen and vice chairmen across the Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas of the state.

At the swearing in ceremony held on Sunday 27 July 2025 , Sanwo-Olu tasked the council executives on selfless leadership and grassroots development.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after his Inauguration, Hon. Oyekan assured Lagos Island residents of proactive governance.

He pledged to redirect the premier local government to the Progressive path and deliver dividends of democracy across the communities.
