Ota Community Residents Demand Action from Ogun State Government Over Deplorable Road Coditions

      Ajibode link road in distress

Residents of Ajibode, Ewu Gbogbo Alayo, Konifewo, Oke-Osa, and Okitikan in Ota have urged the Ogun State Government to address the deplorable state of infrastructure in their area.

The residents, represented by a conglomerate of Community Development Associations (CDAs), highlighted the poor condition of a major road connecting Ijako to Ajibode, which serves as a vital route for students, traders, and market vendors.

The road, which links to key markets selling tomatoes, peppers, and other foodstuffs, as well as a prominent iron market, has become a significant challenge for residents and businesses alike.

The residents expressed concern that the deplorable state of the road has negatively impacted the patronage of government public schools in the area and poses a risk to students who use the road.

The CDAs emphasized the need for prompt action from the government to alleviate the suffering of residents and restore the area's infrastructure calling on the government to exercise prompt actions to find succour in the area.

They  stressed that it is now expedient for the government to intervene and address the infrastructural challenges facing the community underscoring the importance of functional infrastructure in supporting economic activities, education, and overall quality of life in the affected communities.
