CIOTA Executives Poses With Southwest leader after the meeting

Its no longer news that the newly inaugurated state executives of Chattered Institute of Transport Administration, CIOTA, led by Mr Adekunle Ajibade Ariyo has started the journey with his team of transport professionals in a dimension posed to drive home a landmark and purposeful activities for the gateway chapter of the association.

 In the team's first step, paid a courtesy visit to the Southwest coordinator, Cdr Seni Ogunyemi in his office at Abeokuta. The purpose of the first consultation according to him premised on re-egniting the fire of the chapter for progressive and prosperous CIOTA movements that would yield benefits for both state chapter members and nationally in extension.

According to the chapter Chairman, he relayed with journalist recently that, "Our purpose for the first visits was nothing but in furtherance of our resolve to scoop more knowledge from his versed expertise on the field as Southwest leader of transportation body, While we also solicit his dire assistance to facilitate transportation sector key-stakeholders support, starting from the Deputy governor, Her excellency Engr. Noimot Akindele-Salako, who is also the State Chairman of the National Road Safety Advisory Council, (NaRSAC). ''With her excellency in charge and supervision, other government functionaries and those specifically concerned for transportation policy formulations and its adherents in respective locations of all members in the State would be engaged towards achieving our goals"

"We strongly believe that after our meeting with her excellency, we subsequently plan to meet Hon. Gbenga Dairo who is the State Commissioner for Transportation"  " Key among our proposed list of dignitaries is the Chairman House Committee on Transportation, SSA to the Governor on Transportation and Chairman of the TRACE Board." He emphasized.

Part of the Positive outcome of our meeting was the counsel of the southwest coordinator to synergies with other State actors to abreast our operations in line with the state's transportation laws and regulations to enhance successful transportation activities.

The southwest coordinator, advised further to engage Data collation among members in order to achieve harmonized membership datas hence there are many members both in public and private sectors that are yet to be captured.

There are many CIOTA members all over the state which informs the association resolve to advocate for Data policy formulations among practictioners . "Without data collation among members the pursued success and resultant economic benefits might be elusive" he quoted.

Adding, "the Southwest Coordinator also asked us to collaborate with the relevant government Agency to ensure compliance to a certain clause in the laws of Ogun State which says; every Ogun State Government employee working in a Transport related Ministry or Agency must have a professional qualification from the Institute, else such a person will not get promoted beyond Level 10 cadre.

In another vein, the Southwest Coordinator, also advised the executives to push for honorary induction of notable individuals and organisations with outstanding achievements and records in the Transportation sector across the State.
Ajibade expressed hope with the team of sound executives around him in turning around the economy and management of the state chapter of the transportation body to heights of emulation. He concluded.
