Popular Dele Taiwo Changes Music Style,Turns Gospel Musician As He Marks Birthday

If feelers are anything to go by, Funky Juju player, Dele Taiwo may have sanctioned a new season in his glorious music career as he marks his birthday today.

To mark the date, Dele Taiwo who is now a JP having fulfilled the mandatory pilgrimage to Jerusalem to qualify for same, has released a full gospel Single today. It is titled Give Me A Say.

The Single is a collaboration effort with Esther Igbekele a popular gospel singer.

A total departure from his usual Funky Juju and gospel blend, the birthday release is a total gospel package where the act prayed for relevance in every area of endeavor.

According to Dele, this significant change in his music may remain a permanent feature as he intends to use his talent to God’s glory and propagate the gospel henceforth.

“One is not getting any younger. And looking back, I have reasons to say God has been good and kind to me.

” I grew up in the church. As a juju act who got his orientation from the church, I praise God in my songs, but I think that is not enough to reciprocate the love of God for me.

” From my today’s release of Give Me A Say, done with my Sister in the Lord, Esther Igbekele, it’s the beginning of a new era for me musically.

” I will henceforth enter the studio with the intention of winning souls for Christ not to just do dance song anymore. It’s going to be more of Ministration but in a dance mood. You know when you are dancing but the lyrics are ministering to your soul”

Taiwo said his holy pilgrimage experience was a quick reminder for him that Jesus’ death and resurrection was for a purpose and ” anybody who calls himself a child of God has a duty to ensure Jesus did not die in vain. And the best way to ensure that is not for one to  be saved alone, but to ensure that as many people as possible are invited to also taste the goodness of God.

” And since he has given me the talent to sing, i don’t need anybody to remind my of why He gave me the talent  to know what rewarding way to use the talent. And that era begins today, to the glory of God.” the juju Act said.

He revealed further that he is planning a “big CONCERT/ANNIVERSARY…….35yrs in the industry and 31yrs of my First Album Magic Moment and My new Album…..Making 3 in 1 events same day
