While year 2022 programme of Red Letter Day experience and attendant testimonies lingers on people's mind and lives, As people of God,the year 2023 event came with higher expectations from members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God,Ogun 10 province.
The man of God,Pastor Bola Arawole the pastor in charge of the province took people's expectations on a journey of dimensions of God and how He alone can solve men's knotty challenges of live.
Red-letter prayer points raised for at the programme
In his message,he probed the book of Isaiah chapter 61 verses 1-3. Talk on what qualifies Beauty and Ashes,he described Ashes as unpleasant experiences Israelites faces according to Bible when they and leaders acted wickedly and several punitive measures were used by God to put them right. The sufferness due to abandonment of God's ordinances brought lots of defeats of enemies and several attacks that further subjects them to untold hardship of enemies ordinarily less stronger than them.
Pastors at laying on of hands at the programmPastor Arawole also describes ashes as anything opposite Beauty.
Beauty in its definition however is anything or objects which is identified with pleasantness, victories in battles,deliverance in place of attacks, success, breakthroughs etc.
Whatever eyes beholds and sends signals of pleasures to your consciousness expresses beauty in context. Shame, sorrows, defeats, rejection and repression are all agents of ashes in humans lives.
However,when God turns ashes to beauty certain changes always takes place as follows:
1- Oil of gladness and joy are available to quench all sorrows,
2kings chapter 4 explains this.
2- Victory, success relaxes failures and defeats.
3- Fruitfulness replaces barrenness Gen. Chapter 18,God visited Abraham and change his status.
4- Appointment replaces disappointment, Acceptance replaces all rejection as Abundance replaces lack. 1kings 17,8-16.
Day 2 message
After the man of God explicitly narrated how God replaces Ashes with beauty, the second face of the programme also made known the ordeal of enemies handwork in people's lives in turning beauties to Ashes when careless.
In the book of Genesis chapter 1,God created everything good and new but it's Satanic incursion that changes all, it brought sicknesses and diseases,Mark 5 verses 25-34.
It also engages accidents to change destinies, 2Samuel chapter 4,verses 4 explains mephibisheth's accidental fall that crippled him.
Death as agent can change beauty to ashes,Satanic attacks,John 10 verses 10. Natural disasters like floods,Joshua 3 verses 16. Curses,either inherited,self inflicted, Gen 49 3-4.
Household enemies are also events of turning beauties to Ashes, some enemies are like star readers,while Three Wiseman visited Jesus birth with gifts household enemies attempts to kill the star.
Day 3
The third day's message borders on steps God's involvement adopt to turn ashes to beauties. Pastor Bolawaye Arawole in his usual deep teachings explains the process must involve God's actions in the following ways:
Divine Favour- Favour he says is the mother of destiny,Psalm 102 verses 3. He mentioned Samuel,Daniel and Esther as Sets of people who received divine favour from God for their ashes to turn to Beauties.
Divine appointment, also qualifies for the changes in question to manifest .
Divine interventions, visitations,connections,and anointing were taught to attracts God mode of changing destinies, cases of David,Joseph Peter,Widow of Zarepath were cited as people who received God's touches for changing ashes to Beauties. Gen.15 verses 2,Acts 12 verses 1-11 were referred to respectively.
