In follow up to official Customs of government and other paramilitary agencies towards elevations of civil service in the nation, The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE)
yesterday decorated no fewer than 33 newly promoted officers attached to Ogun West Area Command with their new ranks.
The epoch making event witnessed by Olota of Ota, Oba Abdulkabir Obalanlege, who ably represented by Olukotun of Otun Ota, Oba Akeem Odunaro; Hon Segun Ojolowo, represented Deputy Governor, Engr (Mrs) Noimot Salako-Oyedele ; Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Chairman, Hon Sheriff Musa; safety and security agencies within the Command’s jurisdiction and other well wishers.
Congratulating the newly promoted officers, the Corps Commander/Chief Executive Officer, Cdr Abdulfatai Olaseni Ogunyemi, said the reward of hardwork is more work.
He urged the newly promoted and decorated officers to redouble their efforts and put in more sacrifice to uplift the agency anywhere they found themselves for the sustainability of the flag that has already flying.
Cdr Ogunyemi, ably represented by the agency’s Area Commander, Training and Public Education, Cdr Abdul Olabode, said all the agency’s personnel are expected to be effective, diligent and punctuality, saying no officer is expected to engaged in impunities that could tarnish the image of the Corps.
The TRACE boss charged them not to be carried away by the promotion, “indulge yourself in personal development and acquire more training as knowledge rules the world.”
He admonished the personnel to continue leverage on the existing synergies between the Corps and other sister agencies to enable the agency achieve its objectives, which is reduction of road traffic crashes in the state.
“I urged you all to be dutiful and committed to attaining the mandate of the Corps. Be more dedicated to ensure you deliver daily on any task handed over to you,” he added.
Ogun West Commander, Cdr Adekunle Ariyo Ajibade, while congratulating the decorated officers, said much is expected from whom much is given. He added that promotion comes with more responsibility.
He urged the personnel to continue with their proactiveness that would add more value to their lives and the agency.
Also Engr (Mrs) Noimot Salako-Oyede, while felicitating with the decorated officers, urged them to continue display professionalism, hardwork and more commited to their duties.
She commended TRACE personnel for effective and efficient traffic management of traffic gridlocks in the state.
The Deputy Governor charged them on discipline as promotion comes with a lot of responsibilities.
The Nigerian Police representative,the deputy Area commander,Sango Command,ACP Anne Ibiyemi added her voice charging the newly promoted officers to be more active in order to defend the honour and merit bestowed on them by the agency,also assured TRACE of police constant synergies in delivering their combined duties.
One of the newly promoted and decorated officer, Cdr Salau Hammed,who spoke on behalf of others, thanked God almighty, the state government and the Corps Commander for the promotions.
“We will not fail to thank our amiable Corps Cormannder and the entire TRACE management team for the confidence reposed in us. We are assuring the TRACE management that we will continue to give our best to the job. We will behold discipline and integrity even as we carry out our daily duties with dedication and commitment,” Cdr Salau, said.
He urged those who were not promoted not to relent in their efforts because it is by grace that someone is promoted.
