Wickedness! Man Lures Bosom Friend To Ritualists Den For Paltry 80k

 B

A 39-year-old man has fallen victim of ritual killing, orchestrated by his mistaken bosom friend.

The incident, which occurred in the Owode-Yewa area of Ogun State, allegedly involved a pastor, a herbalist and the deceased man’s friend, who lured him out of his abode, for a fee.

While the said friend, Idowu Abel, one Clement Adeniyi and Pastor Felix Ajadi have been nabbed, the herbalist has gone into hiding.

Crime Puzzle gathered that Pastor Felix Ajadi allegedly briefed the principal suspect, Abel, that the fleeing herbalist, simply identified as Abeeb (aka Boko), needed some body parts, comprising a head, heart, hands and legs.

Abel, it was further gathered, met with the herbalist, who promised him Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200,000) for the body parts, and made an advance payment of Eighty Thousand (N80,000).

Consequently, on November 10, 2022, Abel paid the victim, Muyiwa Adekunle, a visit and requested that he should accompany him somewhere.

“Being a long time friend, the victim who didn’t suspect any foul play followed him innocently, and he was taken to the farm of Clement Adeniyi, where they killed him and dismembered his body. His head was severed, the heart was also removed, while the remaining parts were hurriedly buried in a shallow grave in the said farm”, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Abimbola Oyeyemi said in a press release.

Nemesis caught up with the suspects following a complaint lodged at the Owode-Yewa Police Division by the deceased elder brother, Oluwaseyi, on November 15, stating that he left home since November 10 and, since then, his whereabouts were unknown.

According to the PPRO, “Upon the report, the DPO, CSP Mohammed S. Baba, detailed his crack detectives to unravel the mystery behind the sudden disappearance of the man, an investigation that revealed that he left home on the fateful day with Idowu Abel; the said Idowu Abel was traced and arrested”.

His confession, Oyeyemi said, led to the arrest of Clement Adeniyi and Pastor Felix Ajadi, while the herbalist who was simply identified as Abeeb a.k.a Boko has taken to flight.

The state Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the Homicide Section of the state Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation, while directing that the fleeing herbalist must be hunted for and brought to book.
