Mr. Sonnie Bassey, a Resident of Cross River who lost his wife while she was chasing him when the deceased saw him with another woman (alleged to be his concubine) in a mall has died.

According to report, he passed away late Sunday evening.

Citizen NewsNG learnt that Bassey had been in coma as a result of shock from the ugly incident.

Recall that an eye witnesses, Stephen Okposin, said the accident occured on Murtala Mohammed Highway, Calabar.

Citizen NewsNG gathered further that the late wife, identified as Clara Bassey saw her husband at Spar shop with another woman in the car. she hurriedly drove to block his way: Immediately Bassey sighted her, he sped off.

Okposin continued: “I was just driving behind them just in less than three minutes I saw her involved in the accident and she’s unconscious at the point of death”.

“On seeing that the wife had crashed her car, The husband suddenly dropped off the lady and rushed down to assist and revive her.

She died later in the day at a private hospital in Calabar.

The couple were survived by three children.
