The Chairman of the United Bank for Africa attended the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States of America. In the course of the general assembly, the Tony Elumelu Foundation signed a partnership with the UN Capital Development Fund.Society Plus gathered that the reason for the partnership is to support youth entrepreneurship in Africa. A memorandum of understanding was signed at the UNCDF office by Elumelu; and the Executive Secretary of UNCDF, Preeti Sinha. According to the terms of the MOU , both organisations will work hand in hand to create platforms that will connect youth enterprises with critical resources to support their business models.
