Nyesom Wike while commissioning a project in Rivers State, said he is no longer angry with PDP because he lost the presidential primary .

Earlier news reports that Wike said his present fight is that the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the party Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu can not come from one zone.

He said those who say he is fighting because he lost the primary are not correct.

Wike also revealed that the reason the members of Atiku’s camp are arrogant is because someone in the presidency is backing them.

Governor Wike said, “why are they arrogant?, I can tell you they are arrogant because they believe that somebody in the presidency is backing them, but what they don’t understand is that the same person in the presidency backed somebody in the APC presidential primaries and the person failed. I will tell Nigerians at the appropriate time the person in the presidency that is backing them and making them arrogant, so you people should be careful about the way they concoct stories”.

Governor Wike said what he is simply fight for is for them to keep to the agreement that the party chairman would resign if the presidential candidate comes from the north, Wike said if they can’t keep to agreement now what will happen when they win the election.

Recall that Nyesom Wike described the resignation of the Board of Trustees chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Walid Jubril as inconsequential to the clamour by his team for justice, equity and fairness in the party.

Wike , who described the BoT as advisory and not a decision-making body, said the Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, must vacate his position.
