Drivers Should Not See Us As Enemies- Ogun TRACE

The Ogun state traffic compliance and enforcement Corps ,the road traffic and safety arm of the ministry of transportation in the gateway state has cry out to the drivers and other road users never to see their Operatives as enemies and officers out to disrupt their good and sane usage of the Road.

This declaration was made recently when the publishers of Globalreport magazine and online, Daniel Olushola Michael and Informationcarrier online media,Olalekan Ayeni paid a courtesy visits to their Atan and Ijako/ Owode Ota command offices for official routine findings on people's reactions and driving activities on both axis of the roads in Sango Ota.

In his word,Commander Azeez O.Yakubu stated drivers both private and commercial owners should not see them as enemies while performing their due duties on the road, adding that it is only erring drivers who breaks traffic laws on the road that should have course to fear hence they know they are going to face full cause of law whenever any traffic laws is broken. He also urged commuters plying Atan Ota Federal road to always ensure they obey traffic rules and regulations and avoid social vices that could endangered passengers and other road users lives.

According to him, Articulated vehicles drivers like tippers, flatbeds and others should as a matter of fact completely avoid drinking while driving. He said most often some of them usually get drunk before driving,an attitude he said always lead to road crashes and loss of lives and properties.

Commander Temitope Oseni,commanding head of Ijako/Owode unit commends the government of Ogun state for partial completion of the construction portions of the Abeokuta expressway,a portion which for some years now always lead to serious gridlock that causes untold hardship for both drivers and commuters alike. She expressed delight for finished portions of the expressway around Owode)Ijako Ota,according to her,the repair now pave way for a free flow of both human and vehicular movements around the axis.
 
She added her voice that despite all the TRACE Operatives striving to ensure free flow of traffic and making the road safer for users,some drivers are still very recalcitant in their dealings,citing cases when driving against traffic,an offence she said the agency never jokes with,hence these attitudes always results into fatal accidents which cut people's lives short.
The Owode Ijako unit head urges drivers to always maintains discretional driving  within allowed speed-limit,a changed orientation that would foster safer road for all users,she said.
