NewYear: Lagos FRSC Gone Spiritual,Organises Prayer Session To Appreciate God For Protection



In furthererance to the magnitudes of Mercies and divine protections coupled with gifts of life recieved hitherto,The Lagos State Sector Command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), yesterday, January 17, 2022, gone spiritual by organising special prayers to thank God for protecting the staff against all evils in 2021 and for God to curb the incessant road crashes and insecurity in the country.
 
The one-day prayer session, which featured praise and worship was aimed to thank and glorify God for sustaining peace and protection of all the command’s staff throughout the year 2021, was held at the Command’s 
 parading ground.
 
 
Speaking at the event, it’s Sector Commander, CC Olusegun Ogungbemide, said: “There is need for us more than ever to appreciate God for His kindness and protection over us, and to pray for more God’s protection, wisdom, understanding and grace to be more responsive to live up to expectations in the course of discharging our duties.
 
“We organised this programme to return glory, honour and adoration to the Lord for His kindness and protection over us (staff), wives, husbands and our children throughout last year.
“I thanked the FRSC Corps Marshal, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi for opportunity given to me to serve in this capacity.
 
“I commend all staff for their cooperation, dedication, doggedness, willingness to serve and the mind to discharge their duties with the fear of God. I urged you all to continue striving to lift the fellowship higher and leave your mark in the best way possible.
 
“I also appreciate the Lagos State Government, companies, individuals for the support they have been giving to FRSC in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole. The Corps will not relent from ensuring highways are more safe for the users.
 
“FRSC will continue to leverage on the existing synergies between the state government and sister agencies to curb indiscipline causing traffic snarl and gridlock in the state,” Ogungbemide added.
 
Also speaking, the Lagos and Ogun Zonal Commander, ACM Peter Kibo, also thanked God for His kindness over all staff.
 
He urged the Zone’s staff to continue with their cooperation, dedication and avoid all indiscipline that could tarnishing the image of the Corps.
