ABEOKUTA - The 75 coronet monarchs installed by Governor Ibikunle Amosun led administration has applauded Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state for giving the judiciary system a free hand to operate in the state.
The monarchs who have been at the loggerhead with the Ogun state government over what they termed as wrongful removal at the State High Court, commended the judiciary for being their last hope.
The royal fathers who labeled themselves as G-75 pledged their unalloyed loyalty to Ogun State Government led by Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Addressing journalists at the weekend in Abeokuta, the General Secretary of the coronet Obas, Oba Tanimowo Folarin said that the coronet Obas would give their unflinching support to the present administration in the state.
Oba Tanimowo who is Olu of Ipebi, Ijebu-Mushin pleaded with the Governor to shun any negative comments about them.
The Monarch, however, commended Gov. Abiodun for the completion of abandoned projects by his predecessor.
His words" On behalf of the G75 Obas in Ogun State, we want to appreciate His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR for giving the judiciary the freehand during our litigation period.
"The entire G75 Obas also want to pledge our loyalty and support for the administration of His Excellency, we want to let His Excellency be aware we are fully prepared and we are ready to serve his Excellency's administration and to work with him.
"We are giving him our unflinching support and we are ready to work with him.
"His Excellency should shun any negative news about us, we are traditional rulers in our various communities in Ogun State and His Excellency is still our recognized number one citizen, we don't recognize any other person in Ogun State except him.
"We are glad about the project His Excellency has embarked upon since the inception of his government, most especially the completion of the project he met on ground, there are many projects in Ogun State that have not been completed, we are really happy that His Excellency has started working and completed some and up till present he is still working on them, we are very much happy with His Excellency.
"Before now, we have been supporting this administration in our localities, you will discover that we have played a good role, even before now we have been playing a good role, in terms of administering our various domain.
"Pledging our loyalty is just to assure His Excellency that what we have been doing we will continue to do more."
Asked about the payment of their backlog remuneration, Oba Tanimowo expressed confidence in Governor Abiodun, saying, "We trust the government to do the right, even before the judgment we have all been eating. Anyhow the government does it, it is fine by us, but we know we have a government that respects the law, we don't envisage anything bad to come out, whatever he does for us is fine, the Governor is our father."
