34 year old Abdullahi Garba has developed a device he named ‘Mobile Security Control Device’ that can be installed in motorcycle or car to help in tracking them down within the shortest possible time if stolen.
Abdullahi who said in an exclusive interview with our Corresspondent during the weekend explained that he developed the idea sometimes in 2010 after completing his secondary school.
According to him, the device when installed in a water pump engine can also help farmers water their farms from home by simply dialing a code using ordinary handset.
“As you can see, I am the one who developed this device and its functions differs from other devices that were fabricated by other people or companies. The device is cheap and easy to operate unlike others that are so technical”, he said.
“I first concieved this idea to develop this device in 2010 and I now feel I should tell the world what Allah has bestowed in me that will help the society and create job opportunities”, Abdullahi added.
According to him, “the device has multiple functions and is in line with the present technological advancement of the world.
You can use the device to control your property in like say Abuja or anywhere in Nigeria from your comfort zone in Bauchi state”.
The device developer who said people can use their phones to operate the device from Bauchi and control their vehicles, house gate, generator or source of electricity in Lagos or Abuja added that the device can also be used to switch on or off light at home.
“You can also use it to close or open the gate of your house or even warm your car battery.
You don’t need to look for someone to warm your car battery if you are away from home, all you need to do is to dial the code through your phone and the motorcycle or the car will start itself pending when you finish and dial the code again for it to stop”, he explained.
Abdullahi who said he did not learn this from classroom or anybody, said that the idea just came to his mind while he was sitting at home one day, adding that, “I mediated within myself as to why handsetst cannot be used for other things apart from making calls, chatting or sending text messages? So I decided to create another function for phones”.
“I observed that there is rampant cases of theft of motorcycles and vehicles despite the presence of some security devices, that is why I developed something different that mobile phone can be used to provide security for such properties”, he said.
