"Our job as traffic officers is humanitarian. This is what people, as well as government will see, appreciate and take us serious. If you don't take your job serious, you cannot expect government or people to take you serious.

"We must develop the mindset of working and try our best without waiting for people's praises. You cannot play truancy, leave your station to go and hide somewhere and expect your salary which comes the tax payers' money at the end of the month.

The guest lecturer, Commander Abdul also emphasized importance of continual learning, stressing, that the illetrates of the 21st century is not those who cannot read or write but those who refuse to learn in this world of change.

He gave examples of things that had been in existence without being noticed for their usefulness, for ages, but now are in vogue, and those that in vogue but now outdated. He mentioned NITEL phone analogue, giving way to mobile phones, posting of letters and telegram by using stamps, zoom and Skype meetings of nowadays, all being evidence of dynamic world.

"Learning is relatively a permanent change in behavioral attitude which reflects in one's life.

"Whatever TRACE Officers do is a reflection of their training and learning which the public will assess whether they are capable of being true public officers or not".

Commander Abdul enjoined TRACE Officers to develop good and acceptable attitude to their job, stressing that attitude exposes the good or bad nature of man.

"It your attitude that says who you are. Life itself is a series of battle. You wins some and lose some. If you have a growth mindset, positive change, continual learning, and knowledge economy, no one can frustrate you or stop you from helping humanity on the road.

"Traffic job is not all about making revenue on the roads for the government at the expense of accident victims or traffic offenders, but serious humanitarian job to assist people on the roads, in all manners", he said.
