The level of insecurity in Nigeria continues to soar at an alarming rate, every parts of the country is now consecrated with criminals of various kinds. In the north, terrorism and banditry has taken over and the south is full of ritualists, kidnappers and armed robbers. But despite these unfortunate vices, the customary efforts that are made by the government security agents in order to bring these offenders to book can not be undermined or overlooked.

The family of Alakada is grateful for the efforts made by the operatives of the river state police command to apprehend four suspects in connection with the kidnap and murder of Mr. Friday Alakada who is the General Overseer of God is God Ministries at Agbochia,Eleme Local Government Area.

In a briefing with the journalists, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Eboka explained that the suspects murdered and buried the late Pastor after collecting a ransom of 500 thousand Naira. The body of the deceased has been exhume from a shallow grave in Luorre Community at Khana Local Government Area of the state.

In an interview with the prime suspect, Prince Odi, after confessing to the crime, he told journalists that that the late Pastor was murdered because he recognized one of them.

It's so sad that despite the many available ways and skills one can use to make money in Nigeria, nowadays youths still see kidnapping and extortion as a hustle. We can only pray that God strengthens and console the family of Alakada and that justice is served.

R.I.P Man of God.
