The Voice Nigeria: Coaches, contestants on First-Bank sponsored show honour Sound Sultan

Late legendary singer, Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiyu Fasasi aka Sound Sultan came alive on the First- Bank sponsored ‘The Voice Nigeria’ Season 3 Stage as coaches and contestants gave a beautiful rendition of his hit song, Motherland(Area) to kickoff the live performance.

It will be recalled that Sound Sultan died, aged 44 on July 11th, 2021 in the United States of America after battling throat cancer. The coaches-Darey, Waje, Yemi Alade and Falz were joined by the contestants and gave an electrifying performance in honour of their  departed friend and colleague, Sound Sultan.

 There was also a short dance performance of other hit songs such as “Natural Something’ and ‘Kokose’ by a group of dancers before the main show.It was a mix of emotions as they are poured their hearts out and wished his soul peaceful repose.
Sultan was rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, comedian and recording artist. He was regarded as one of the pacesetters of modern hip hop music in Nigeria. http://Photostory.com.ng
