"The heights at which great men reach and attain are not gotten at sudden flight but while their contemporaries sleeps they keep toiling at night" this solidly explains the passion with which The Arole Iganmode  HRM, Oba (Prof) Abdulkabir Adeyemi Obalanlege Lanlege Ekun II counsels the Ota youths to be more responsible and consistent in their chosen pursuits in life.

The Olota of Otta, HRM (Prof) Adeyemi Obalanlege has advised youth in Otta Aworiland to wake up to the responsibility of being future leaders and face challenges that will enable them to succeed in life.

The royal father gave the advice in a goodwill message he delivered on Thursday at 1st All Otta Summit that attracted who is who in Otta Aworiland, at the Olota Palace.

Describing the youth as "Our Wealth", Obalanlege who was the Convener & Royal Host of the Summit, said the summit was organised primarily because of the Youth.

He decried the attitude of young people constituting themselves into a nuisance in the society, in the name of being transporters, saying he facilitated establiment of Diploma Course in Transport at Crescent University, which was intended to develop into a degree course, but regretted no one embraced the opportunity.

"I need to be frank with you and tell you the truth that you need to rise up to the challenges of being great and stop looking for easy way of getting quick money that will not last.

"Look at me today. If I told you I sold minerals and iced water for my mother at Asuwani Market in Lagos, will you believe?

"I did it to help my mother to meet her financial responsibility. I loathed seeing any situation that would throw my mother into financial mess, so against every odds, I worked for the family. This principle helped me later in life.

The royal father warned the youth against reliance on land sale in Otta, describing it as self delusion because there is no more land to sell.

Substantiating his claim of "no more land to sell", Obalanlege said many projects, including low cost housing, approved for Otta by the Presidency have been abandoned because of no more land.

Calling on the elders in the ancient town of Otta to properly direct the youth and show them the good way of life, the royal Father said doing so is an insurance for better tomorrow.

He said there is no wisdom in tribal descrimination against people when it comes to development of the community, adding that whoever displays capabilities to do a job should be allowed to do it, not minding whether he is an indigene or not.
