Phillipine – The anti-illegal drugs operatives of Phillipines has killed a Nigerian while bursting a drug deal by a notorious West African Drug Syndicate (WADS) and recovered P13.6-million Shabu in Tarlac.

Phillipines National Police Chief, Police General Debold M Sinas, who disclosed this in a press release said Nigerian national Gabriel Onyechefula succumbed to a single gunshot wound in the abdomen during an armed confrontation with arresting officers from the PNP Drug Enforcement Group at 10am Thursday at the parking lot of a videoke bar in Barangay Jefmin, Concepcion, Tarlac.

According to PDEG Director Police Brig Gen Ronald Lee, the suspect through a local contact known only as “Kingsley” was the subject of the buy-busy operation launched by PDEG.

Lee said the suspect pulled out a machine pistol when he sensed the entrapment prompting the undercover agents to defend themselves.

Sinas while commending the PDEG operatives for the string of successful operations hitting high-value targets in illegal drugs said, “Our campaign against illegal drugs is so serious that we have been connecting the dots to establish links of the drug syndicates so that we could burn their illegal plans outright”.

Lee added the WADS is a transnational drug syndicate responsible for the trafficking of shabu and cocaine into the country that also recruits Filipinos to become drug mules.
