Most artists' work had to rise to the top in these current competitive times where there are new and better talents. some artist moves to extreme activities like witchcraft to make their music better.

cannibal is a Tanzania gospel rapper who made a turning point in 2018, he revealed how he used witchcraft to boost his musical influence. His statement on Mbuvi tv cannibal said that he was intertwined to evil deeds that he was introduced by another Tanzanian man that included feeding on human flesh and feeding on his blood.

“KUNA VITU ALIKUWA ANANIPEA NA KULA ANANIAMBIA HII UKILA UTAKUWA MSANII MKALI NYOTA ITANG’AA, KUMBE ANANIPA NYAMA ZA WATU WAMEKUFA.” cannibal said on Mbuvi TV. his music progressed significantly where he met other stars but it was short-lived. he started wallowing in abject poverty and would even sleep hungry. cannibal chose a turning point and became a gospel artist to free himself from the evil.
