FRSC APAPA UNIT COMMAND ADVOCATES SAFE-DRIVE TO FLAG OFF EMBER MONTHS CAMPAIGN

Following the 'ember' months national safety campaigns embarked on by the Federal Road Safety Corp which is usually the periods noted for commercial, human and vehicular 'mad rush' activities, the sector and unit commandant of the corps Apapa unit command has warned the motorists to desist and avoid consumption of alcohol and disregards to traffic rules in these Yuletide period.

The sector commandant of Lagos represented by ACC E.C Obi highlights positive measures to make the period crash-free by always ensure they uphold what he called "Safe take-off" and overloading. Safe take off in carry-out morning parade that is, check for any fault and balance every liquids needed to balance in vehicles before movement. Avoid distractions, like use of phones,earpiece, eating, drinking and smoking while driving are major factors contributing to recorded crashes.
The unit commander, ACC AA Solanke reiterated need for safe drive as the year 2020 theme states "Drive safe,Stay safe"  as the country is ravaged by covid-19 Pandemic advocates for total adherence to regulations regarding staying safe from the scourge due to rise in record of daily contact of of the virus which informs reasons to follow protocols on loading of vehicles to flatten the curve and tame its spread. ACC Solanke urge park Managers to ensure they play big role in providing running water and sanitizers for people to use and ensure strict compliance with loading protocols.

Honeywell management, manufacturers of Noodles,pasters,flours and other food products as one of stakeholders at the event ably represented by Transport manager,Mr Oluwagbemiga Akinyemi Commends the Corp for using the period to sentizise the populace in having safe Yuletide also wishing safe journey to all participants.
Mr Abayomi Abeyi the park chairman Mile 2, reacted that their parks is been ridden out of alcoholic sales and patronizers hitherto.

Oriyomi Salvage, chairman unit organizing committee and PRO of the command appreciates all attendees and supporters for their presence at the occasion marking "ember" months campaigns for 2020.

Other stakeholders Present at the event are the chairman, Amuwo-odofin local government, Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh ably represented by Mr Mustapha Azeez who counsel drivers to use their trottles well in order to land safely,the special Marshalls in the units,Commandant,Nigerian correctional service,Supretendent  Kindness Olenloa,Nigerian Army signal operation commandant, represented by Major Bello and Divisional Police officer Trinity police station represented by ASP Essien Eteido and others.
