OBY EZEKWESILI'S CORRECTIONAL MESSAGE TO FEMALE LAWMAKER IN LAGOS that said "youths are always on drugs"

Minding the fact that many of the youths in recent protests in the country are jobless but that doesn't supposed they are mindless, the prominent activist and former NIGERIAN minister added her voice to correct the awkward impression poccessed by the female LAGOS lawmaker.

I honestly don't think that this is the time to be insensitive especially to the Nigerian youths. The reality most of the times is, some people are opened to more opportunities than others, we honestly don't have equal chances to success in this country.

This is another aspect of the battle that Youths are fighting on the streets by protesting. It's honestly sad to see Nigerian graduates with exceptional academic excellence roaming the streets of the country, in search for job. Some are there after overwhelmed with frustrations after years of fruitless efforts to make a greener stand in life.

All that is enough to leave one aagitated and sincerely pained, can you then blame them if they take to the streets to demand for a better system? Is this wrong? Sometimes some even venture into entrepreneurship skills but then, everything is about "who you know", without connections, they are going no where exactly! All these combined with other issues are enough to cause a massive movement across the street of Nigeria.

Well a Nigerian Lawmaker thinks Nigerian youths are always high on drugs, imagine what a decent jobless Nigerian youth will take this.

Oby Ezekwesili, a Nigerian activist have taken to the Twitter to send a strong message to the female lawmaker that said the youths are high on drugs.

Oby Ezekwesili wrote:

"As for the female lawmaker in that same @followlasg House of Assembly who referred to most youths as “drug addicts”, one frankly has no word for you. We shall work collectively to produce the kind of exemplary women politicians with Character, Competence and Capacity. We shall."
