AKWA-IBOM LG CAMPAIGN
Following the approaching local government elections of Akwa-Ibom state,the Directorate of Grassroot Mobilization had Launched a ‘Know your Chairman and Vice campaign in the 31 Local Government Areas of the State ahead of the October 31 Local Government elections.
An initiative of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Grassroot Mobilization, Comr. Inibehe Umah, the campaign which is themed: ‘Know Your Chairman and The Vice’ is aimed at creating awareness and familiarity of the candidates to the electorates.
The campaign train visited Eket, Ibeno, Esit Eket and Onna on Tuesday, October 2020 and is headed next for Uyo State constituency.
It would be recalled that the PDP during its primaries had successfully elected its candidates for the Local Government election. The State Party leader, Governor Udom Emmanuel had among other things warned the candidates against oath taking and cultism, while pronouncing automatic disqualification as penalty for anyone found wanting.
