A housewife and mother of five, Aisha Tijjani, who woke up on March 20, poured petrol on her 10 years old daughter before setting her ablaze, has told the police in Ogun State that momentary madness was responsible for her action. 

The suspect's neighbour, Moroof Ayinde, reporting the case at Mowe Divisional Police Headquarters put the police on their toes on rescue mission of the little girl-victim. 

The police led by CSP Folashade Tanaruno, the DPO Mowe division, quickly moved to the scene with the detectives and got the suspect arrested. 

Globalreport gathered that the little girl-victim, who had been badly burnt was rushed to the nearest hospital by the police, from where she was referred to Olabisi Onabanjo teaching hospital for proper medical attention.

The suspect's neighbour further told the police that the woman got annoyed because the little girl took a phone she seized from one of her children from where she kept it and gave it back to the child whose hand the phone was seized.

Confirming the story, the state Police image maker, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said on interrogation, the suspect, who claimed to have been separated from the father of the children, explained that she didn't know what came over her when she was carrying out the wicked act.

Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
