The family of late Pa. Ajigbotafe Oyetoro of Ishilo and Kooko-Ebiye compounds in Osi and Otun quarters, Ota has, announced the transition to glory of their Patriarch, Elder Ayodele Edward Oyetoro, popularly known as ‘Eddy’.

According to Mr. Sola Oyetoro, who is the eldest of the deceased, Mr. Eddy Oyetoro breathe his last at about 5:48pm on Sunday, 20th of March, 2022 at his Idole compound in Ijana, Ota.

The deceased was, until his death, the Secretary of St. Michael’s African Bethel Cathedral, Igbo Olori, Ota. He was also a retired Head Teacher in Lagos state, according to Voice of Awori

Mr. Eddy Oyetoro, who was described by his eldest son as a fatherly figure, ‘stood for peace, justice and fairness all his life time’. He died at the ripe age of 76.


Late Bro. Eddy Oyetoro was the first son of Late Pa Ajigbotafe Oyetoro of Ishilo compound, Osi, Ota and Kooko Ebiye in Atan, Ota. His late mother, Madam Victoria Alake Oyetoro was the daughter of Late Pa Cornelius Oyede, one of the pillars of Ijemo ruling family in Ota.

It was gathered that the late Eddy is survived by two wives and many children.
Details of his final passage rites remain sketchy as at press time.
